We experienced the power of nature at Bakerview Church in Abbotsford on November 15th, 2006. The Piano Extravaganza Duo was invited to perform in their “Music on a Wednesday” concert series. We struck the first chord and suddenly: the lights went out!
But “the show must go on”! Katherine and Nita performed the entire concert by candlelight to a very appreciative audience-a reminder of days of yore when the great composers and musicians performed by candlelight. The flickering candles and howling winds gave us a real sense of Beethoven’s “Sturm und Drang”
Certainly, it was a day to remember! The first of our many winter storms this season which have wrought so much damage to homes and parks across British Columbia.
Thank you to our friends at Bakerview Church who persevered and stayed until the end!
